Mission Statement

To provide an environment in which children continue to develop a love of learning and respect for others.

Kaikorai School Features

Our teaching staff are highly qualified, experienced and dedicated to the task of providing children with the best possible learning environment. At Kaikorai we place emphasis on current teaching techniques to plan stimulating programmes.

Electives & Fun Fridays

Children in the middle and senior syndicates have taken part in an electives programme. Each term a variety of activities are offered, giving children the opportunity to take part in things of interest as well as the chance to work with children of different ages.

Children in the junior syndicates have taken part in a Fun Fridays programme. For this, children are put into mixed groups and have a go at a range of fun activities.

Kaikorai Primary ~ Enviroschool

We are enrolled in the Enviroschools Awards Scheme. We already have a Silver Award, which means that we are now working very hard towards a Gold Award. The Enviroschools Awards Scheme encourages and supports students on their journey to becoming innovative and motivated your people who instinctively think and act sustainably, through a whole school approach to environmental education. Habits for Healthy Living A number of health issues are addressed in each class as needs and opportunities arise. This includes developing understandings of common diseases and illnesses and how to prevent the spread of infections, and healthy eating. Children at Kaikorai Primary School have many opportunities to continue to develop their fitness levels. Running, ball skills, class Phys Ed sessions are all a part of this.
